Ahmed Kharshi: Arab and Islamic Consensus on the Urgent Item in the Inter-Parliamentary Union Regarding Gaza

Ahmed Kharshi, Vice President of the League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds and Palestine, Vice President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and Vice President of the Algerian National Assembly, stated that the Arab and Islamic group agreed during the Inter-Parliamentary Union meeting in Geneva on the urgent item concerning the genocide in the Gaza Strip.

Kharshi explained that the group agreed to pass the urgent item calling for the cessation of the genocide being waged by the Israeli occupation in Gaza, which was presented by Algeria and Palestine. He noted that the occupation attempted to cancel the item and disrupt it by distracting the votes of the General Assembly of the Union through proposing other items.

He pointed out that the Arab and Islamic countries agreed to withdraw during the speech of the representative of the occupying state in the General Assembly of the Union, emphasizing that Algeria continues to negotiate with all countries in the international parliament to pass and adopt the urgent item.
