Turkish Foreign Minister: The International Community is Useless and Unable to Stop the Genocide in Gaza

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated on Tuesday that the ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip is clear evidence that the international system has been shaped and exploited for the benefit of a certain privileged group.

During a conference titled "The Future of Palestine," organized by the Turkish Justice and Development Party at its headquarters in Ankara, Fidan said, "The international, Arab, and Islamic communities have remained powerless and failed to end this tragedy of the Palestinians that has lasted for nearly 70 years. This tragedy has taken on a new form since October 7, 2023, and no one could have imagined such a situation."

He continued, "This tragedy has turned into a genocide happening before our eyes, and the international community is useless and incapable of stopping this genocide. Many women and children have been killed due to being targeted by artificial intelligence, claiming that it is the machine that orders and kills. This is the excuse they hide behind, and it is itself another contempt for human values."

Fidan pointed out that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu "has developed a strategy over the past twenty years that has made the world forget the two-state solution," demanding that "the Israeli government and its supporters be made to pay a price, so they realize that there are limits to what they can commit."
