Islamic Action Front in the Jordanian Parliament: We Call on Parliamentary Bodies to Reject the U.S. Decision Against Mr. Hamid

The bloc of the Islamic Action Front Party in the Jordanian House of Representatives expressed its strong rejection and condemnation of the unjust decision issued by the U.S. Department of the Treasury against the President of the League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds and Palestine, Member of Parliament Sheikh Hamid bin Abdullah Al-Ahmar.

The bloc clarified in a statement that the decision comes amidst ongoing U.S. bias in favor of Israeli terrorism, covering it up, and justifying its criminal actions, while opposing every effort made by free individuals around the world to confront it.

It affirmed that Sheikh Hamid Al-Ahmar is an honorable and influential figure both politically and parliamentarily in the fight against colonial influence and its tools in the region, always striving through the positions he holds to achieve and enforce justice, support oppressed peoples, express solidarity with the Palestinian cause, and expose the practices of the occupation.

The bloc stressed that the sanctions will not succeed in obscuring the truth or distorting its image, calling on all regional and international parliamentary bodies to reject the decision and to combine efforts to work towards its annulment, and to stand with issues of truth and freedom against biased American policies.

It demanded that the U.S. administration retract the decision, which contradicts international laws and norms, and constitutes an infringement on the sovereignty of the State of Yemen, affirming the legitimate right of peoples, organizations, and individuals to confront the forces of terrorism and occupation and to achieve freedom.
