MP Syed Ibrahim Calls on Parliaments to Reject the U.S. Decision Against Mr. Hamid Al-Ahmar

Syed Ibrahim Syed Noh, a member of the executive committee of the League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds and Palestine and the Chairperson of Malaysian Parliament Caucus on Palestine, strongly condemned the arbitrary announcement by the U.S. Department of the Treasury imposing sanctions on the League's President, Mr. Hamid bin Abdullah Al-Ahmar.

Syed Ibrahim emphasized that the issuance of this decision on the anniversary of the Israeli genocide in Gaza reflects a premeditated vengeful desire against supporters of the Palestinian people's rights and is a testament to the level of complicity between the United States and Israel in the genocide and the suppression of Palestinian rights.

He stressed that Mr. Hamid has adhered to high standards of diplomacy in all his relationships with parliamentarians and parliaments, participating in conferences that served as a platform for finding solutions to the conflict in the region according to international law, which indicates that the accusations against him of terrorism are baseless and unjustified.

MP Syed Ibrahim called on all parliaments and parliamentary blocs to stand with Mr. Hamid in his right to express his opinions and political positions without facing threats from any party, and to issue a clear statement condemning the U.S. decision.
