Osama Al-Shaheen: Everyone Must Act to Stop the Genocide in Gaza and Prevent Its Continuation

Member of the Executive Committee of the League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds and Palestine and former member of the Kuwaiti National Assembly, Osama Al-Shaheen, stated that all people and free individuals around the world are called to act, both individually and collectively, to prevent the continuation of the genocide being waged by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and to stop American and Western support for it.

Al-Shaheen emphasized that everyone must question their role in supporting the Palestinian people during a year of genocide in Gaza, calling on the Arab and Islamic peoples to unite in confronting the Israeli occupation.

He urged parliaments and international institutions to stop prioritizing political interests over humanitarian considerations, to cease applying double standards, blaming the victim, and rewarding the oppressor, and to work towards stopping the genocide, praising the resilience of the people of Gaza.

MP Al-Shaheen reiterated that the continuation of the genocide is a result of the complicity of major powers with the Israeli occupation and the funding of its killing machine, stating that it is natural for the Palestinian people to exercise their right to resist and defend their land and sanctities after being let down by the international system.
