Kurtulmuş: Hamas is Not a Terrorist Organization and There Should Be No Discrimination Between Palestinian Factions

The President of the Turkish Parliament, Prof. Numan Kurtulmuş, stated that his country will stand by the Palestinian people in their struggle until they establish their free and fully sovereign state.

In a televised interview, Kurtulmuş added that Turkey has stated, at a critical time for global public opinion and at the highest levels, through President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, "For us, Hamas is not a terrorist organization but a movement that fights for freedom."

He explained that Turkey addresses the entire Palestinian people without discrimination between its factions, emphasizing that its political dialogue is with the Palestinian people as a whole. He stressed that the greatest injustice to Palestine is the discrimination between its political factions.
