The League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds and Palestine condemns the Israeli occupation's horrific massacre against the displaced persons camp in Rafah

The League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds and Palestine condemns the horrific massacre committed by the Israeli occupation against a camp for displaced persons in the area claimed to be safe west of Rafah.

The League affirms that the occupation's perpetration of the massacre just two days after the decision of the International Court of Justice to stop the military occupation operation in the city of Rafah is clear evidence of the occupation's disregard for the international justice system and the institutions of the international community, and evidence of the complicity of the United States and the major powers with the Israeli occupation and their enabling it to continue the genocide of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

The League stresses that this massacre is a clear message from the Israeli occupation and its supporting countries to the International Criminal Court, to all international courts, and to the international community, that the holocaust against civilians continues and the massacres against the displaced and children are ongoing, and that it does not care about international and humanitarian laws.

The League calls on parliamentarians and parliaments to condemn this crime, to take urgent and effective action to stop the war of extermination and hold the occupation accountable for its crimes against the Palestinian people, to enact laws criminalizing normalization with it and support the request of the Republic of South Africa in the International Court of Justice to prosecute the Israeli occupation on charges of violating the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.
