Pakistan condemned yesterday, Israel's raid on Al Aqsa Mosque during the holy month of Ramadan, which led to the expulsion of worshipers and violation of the sanctity of the mosque.
Pakistan's Foreign Ministry on Monday issued a statement condemning Israel's regular attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque during Ramadan, which said that "These actions not only violate the fundamental right to freedom of religion or belief of the Palestinian people but also offend the religious sensitivities of 1.5 billion Muslims around the world."
It added that the use of indiscriminate force by the Israeli occupying forces against defenseless Palestinians is contrary to all humanitarian and human rights norms and laws, and by carrying out illegal raids, Israel has broken its recent promise to respect the sanctity of Ramadan.
Pakistan urges the international community to take urgent action to end the Israeli violations which have increased in frequency throughout this year.
“We reaffirm our full support for the Palestinian people and the Palestinian cause, and renew our call for a viable, independent and contiguous Palestinian state, with 1967 borders, and Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital, being the only just and comprehensive and lasting Palestinian state of the Palestinian question, in accordance with the relevant UN and OIC resolutions."
