With strong police protection, dozens of Zionist settlers stormed the Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem on Tuesday morning.
The settlers, led by far-right rabbi Yehuda Glick, entered the Mosque in groups through its Maghariba Gate and visited its courtyards under police protection.
During their visits of the Islamic holy site, the settlers were given lessons about the fabled temple mount by rabbis, and a few of them said Talmudic prayers in the Mosque's eastern part.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation police restricted Muslim worshipers' mobility and admission at the Aqsa Mosque's entrances and gates.
Nafisa Khwais, a female activist, was also detained by Israeli police in Old City early today.
Last week, extreme Jewish temple mount organizations called for massive crowds to invade the Aqsa Mosque on Tuesday and Wednesday to celebrate the Jewish festival of Purim.
