EU firmly condemns Israeli settler violence, killing of Palestinian by settlers' fire

The European Union today firmly condemned Israeli settler violence and expressed concern over the growing number of settler attacks.

“Saddened by yet another victim of settler violence: Mithqal Rayyan who was killed on Saturday at Qarawat Bani Hassan village. The EU firmly condemns settler violence and is concerned about the growing number of settler attacks,” said the EU in a tweet.

“This kind of senseless violence will fuel the already tense situation and must stop. A rapid and transparent investigation is needed and perpetrators should be brought to justice,” added the EU.

Rayyan was shot dead yesterday by Israeli settlers in the town of Qarawat Bani Hassan, in the occupied West Bank province of Salfit.
