The Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, this morning stormed the esplanades of the blessed Al-Aqsa mosque, on the side of the Mughrabi gate.
Ben Gvir arrived early this morning at Al-Buraq Square, under heavy Israeli occupation police security.
This attack comes after the meeting he had on Monday evening with the Prime Minister of the occupation, Benjamin Netanyahu.
Israel's official Kan Radio reported that the Shin Bet intelligence service gave Bin Gvir the green light to storm Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Located in occupied Jerusalem, the Al-Aqsa Mosque is the third holiest site in Islam. It used to be the first Qibla in Islam, the direction Muslims had to face in prayer, before it was towards Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
Unfortunately, Israeli settlers regularly enter the area and often perform Jewish prayers at the site, where they believe the Second Temple once stood. Some right-wing Israeli activists have even advocated for the destruction of the mosque compound.
