A delegation of the League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds, headed by the League's President Sheikh Hamid bin Abdullah Al-Ahmar, arrived in the State of Qatar on a 4-day official visit, and was received by the Vice-President of the Qatari Shura Council, Dr. Hamda Al Sulaiti.

In addition to Al-Ahmar, the delegation of the League included the Chairman of the Palestinian-Turkish Friendship Committee, Member of the Executive Board, MP Hasan Turan, Member of the Executive Board of the League, Chairman of the Defense and Relations Committee in the Pakistani Senate, Senator Mushahid Hussain, Member of the Executive Board, Observer of the Kuwaiti Parliament, MP Osama Al-Shaheen, Member of the League, Representative in the Yemeni Parliament, Madhhaj bin Abdullah Al-Ahmar, Assistant to the President of the League for Asian Affairs, Mohammad Aql, Assistant to the President of the League for African Affairs, Member of the Executive Board, Al-Bashir Jarallah, Member of the Executive Board, Adel Al-Rashed, and Director General of the League Dr. Mohammad Makram Balawi, head of Public Relations in the League, eng. Abdullah Al-Beltaji.

Al-Ahmar stressed, during his speech at the reception of the delegation, that the Palestinian cause has reached the last episode in the conflict, whose title is either we regain our place in Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa, or we lose it to the Israeli occupation and its Judaization projects, stressing that the League will perform its legitimate, legal and parliamentary duty to defend Jerusalem And the Palestinian cause.

He explained that the plans for the temporal and spatial division of Al-Aqsa Mosque have reached an advanced and dangerous stage, as a result of global inaction and complicity with the occupation and its conspiracies, noting that the situation in Jerusalem is going from bad to worse.

Al-Ahmar indicated that the league's visit to the State of Qatar comes at a sensitive and dangerous time that Al-Aqsa Mosque is going through, pointing out that the visit comes to the realization of the League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds, the importance of the authentic Qatari position in support of just causes, especially the Palestinian cause.

He added that Qatar is one of the most important countries with which to cooperate to make parliamentary and legal efforts to defend Al-Aqsa and Al-Quds a success, praising the development in the Qatari Shura Council.

He expressed the league's readiness to cooperate with the Qatari Shura Council for the success of its parliamentary experience and for a closer relationship with it, whether in direct cooperation or cooperation in international forums to confront the occupation.

For her part, Al-Sulaiti welcomed the delegation of the league in the State of Qatar, stressing that the Shura Council attaches great importance to the role of the league and to this visit.

She indicated that the Shura Council will coordinate the league's visits to various Qatari institutions to enhance cooperation and strengthen the relationship, stressing Qatar's position in support of the Palestinian cause and defender of the occupied city of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Al-Sulaiti expressed her enthusiasm to cooperate with the efforts of the League to defend the Palestinian cause in various forums.
