Algerian foreign minister reiterates his country’s firm position in support of Palestinian cause

Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra reiterated his country's firm position in support of the Palestinian cause, without reservations, in order to end the Israeli occupation and embody an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

He condemned during a telephone call with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Riyad al-Malki, the Israeli occupation’s attack on holy sites, particularly the encroachment of al-Aqsa mosque, and attempts to impose a temporal and spatial division of the holy compound.

The two ministers discussed the best means to confront these measures and to activate the Arab League institutions to express Arab solidarity with Palestine and stress the Arab countries' support for the Palestinian right in the face of the Israeli occupation’s policies.
