MP Bouchouit criticizes the duplicity of the international parliament in dealing with the Palestinian issue

The deputy in the Algerian National People's Assembly, Mohamed Anouar Bouchouit, denounced the policy of double standards in dealing with international crises by the Inter-Parliamentary Union and international institutions towards the Palestinian cause.

In his intervention at the federation’s meetings in the Indonesian city of Bali, Bouchouit added that the union had never condemned the persecution of the Palestinian people by the Israeli occupier with the same intensity and severity, as it does in the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, calling on the international parliament to provide justice to the Palestinian people and stop the occupation’s aggression.

The representative wished to see from the members the same concern regarding just issues such as the Palestinian issue, which for Algeria is considered the mother of issues and the key to peace in the world, calling on the members of the Executive Office of the Union to grant the League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds membership as an observer.

A delegation of parliamentarians for Al-Quds is participating in the 144th meeting of the Union, based on an official invitation. The delegation includes the President of the League, Hamid bin Abdullah Al-Ahmar, and the Director General of the League, Dr. Mohammad Makram Balawi, and the director of the public relations department in the league, Abdullah Al-Beltaji.
