Al-Ghanim calls for support for the League’s membership file in the Inter-Parliamentary Union

Today, Sunday, Kuwaiti National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim called on representatives of Arab, African and Asian groups in the Inter-Parliamentary Union to support the league's obtaining of observer membership in the union.

During his speech, at the Islamic group’s session at the 144th conference of the Union held in the Indonesian city of Bali, Al-Ghanim stressed the importance of supporting the League’s file to obtain membership as an observer due to the importance of its parliamentary role in highlighting what is happening in occupied Jerusalem and Palestine and defending Arab and Islamic rights.

A delegation of parliamentarians for Al-Quds participates in the work of the union meeting based on an official invitation. The delegation includes the President of the League, Sheikh Hamid bin Abdullah Al-Ahmar, and the Director-General of the League, Dr. Mohammad Makram Balawi, and the head of the public relations department in the league, Abdullah Al-Beltaji.
