Airplane Crash and the Victim is Netanyahu Corruption Trail Witness

Two Israelis, including former Israeli Deputy Director of the Ministry of Communications Haim Grun, were killed in a small plane crash that took off for Greece last night.

Identical Hebrew media reported that the Greek authorities had informed their Israeli counterpart of a “Sinsna 182” light aircraft crashing into the sea near Samos Island on Monday evening, killing two passengers on board.

The Greek Aviation Authority explained that the aircraft, taking off from Israel (occupied Palestinian territory) to Samos Island, disappeared from the radar above sea, and that a Greek army force had been called to the area to locate the aircraft and complete the rescue.

According to the same sources, the Greek authorities have not determined the cause of the crash and it remains unknown, however, preliminary estimates suggest technical difficulties prior to the landing.

Grun was a prosecution witness in the case against former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Monday, the Israeli Central Court in occupied Jerusalem resumed the trial of Netanyahu on corruption charges after a 3-month break, the first after Netanyahu became leader of the opposition and the fifth since the presentation of an indictment by the Government's Legal Counsel, Avichai Mandelblit, at the end of January 2020.
