Bahraini Ambassador to Submit his Credentials to the Israeli Occupation President Next Tuesday

Bahraini Ambassador to Tel Aviv Khalid Al-Jalahama is due to submit his credentials to Israeli President Yitzhak Herzog next Tuesday, as reported by the website of the Maarif newspaper this morning.

The Jalahama is the first Bahraini Ambassador to Israel, presenting similar credentials to Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid days ago after they met together.

Yesterday, it was announced that the Bahraini Government had begun to take action to facilitate the access of Israelis to a visa for their country.

Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, announced the launch of a direct line to Tel Aviv from 30 September on two weekly flights.

Captain Walid Al-Alawi, Executive Vice President, said that "We are pleased to announce the launch of the Bahrain-Tel Aviv line by Gulf Air as part of the historic start of Bahraini-Israel relations, according to the Bahrain News Agency (BNA).

He Added: "As the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, we are very proud to support the wise leadership of the Kingdom and its role in maintaining peace and security in the region. We hope that this will be the beginning of the development of opportunities for cooperation in many areas."

The signing of the Agreement of Understanding and the announcement of the inauguration of the Bahrain-Tel Aviv line follow the announcement of the commencement of relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Israel and the recent signing of political, commercial and civil aviation agreements between the two countries.
