Today, the Appropriations Committee of the California State Senate votes to adopt a bill that will allow the state's educational districts to choose the racial studies curriculum and make it compulsory for public high school students.
This law, if passed, allows the educational regions to choose between different curricula, including one under development, in which they generally adopt the Palestinian version of history and refer to Israel as a apartheid State and the Zionist movement as a "colonial national ideology."
The Zionist Lobby in the United States seeks to overturn the bill in its early stages by preventing Parliament from voting on it. The Zionist Agency of the United States, an organization of the pro-Israel Lobby, issued a statement calling on members of the Appropriations Committee to reject the bill, drop it and not to put it to a vote in Parliament on the pretext that it "encourages hatred of Jews and Israel, which high school students may bring after graduating to universities and their surrounding."
