The head of the Jerusalem Committee in the Palestinian Legislative Council, MP Dr. Ahmed Abu Halabiya, said that there was a significant increase in the demolition of homes, this year, by the Israeli occupation in this year.
The member of the league of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds added, during a press conference, that the year 2020 has been the most destructive. The homes of Jerusalemites have been destroyed at an unprecedented rate, this includes the desecration of Jerusalem and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque. He explained that the occupation has increased the frequency of attacks on the Al-Aqsa guards and those stationed there.
He stressed that normalization encouraged the occupation to move forward with these heinous acts, pointing out that the occupation seeks to abolish the role of Islamic endowments in Jerusalem and the Jordanian tutelage.
Abu Halabiya pointed out that the occupation is pursuing a policy of confiscating lands, especially near Al-Aqsa, to establish Jewish and settlement projects.
