THE UNITED NATIONS CONFIRMS ITS COMMITMENT TO CONTINUE ITS SERVICES TO THE PALESTINIAN REFUGEES

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has confirmed that he will continue to defend UNRWA and make it work for Palestinian refugees and committed to urgently secure funding.
The move was announced during a press conference held by Secretary-General’s spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric at the organization’s permanent headquarters in New York. This was in response to a call by UNRWA to secure a 70 million dollars.
Dujarric said the Secretary-General is one of the staunchest supporters of the stability of UNRWA’s existence, warning that the current financial crisis in UNRWA will have an impact on the Palestinian society.
