Palestine confirms five new coronavirus cases

Palestine confirmed Monday evening five new coronavirus cases, raising the total number of confirmed cases in the occupied territories to 565.
Health Minister Mai al-Kaileh announced that five Palestinians tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Beit Ula town, northwest of the southern West Bank city of Hebron, and identified them as a two-year toddler, a 31-year-old woman and three young men.
She pointed out that the number of active coronavirus cases increased to 106, including 59 active cases in Jerusalem city, eight others in Jerusalem suburbs, 35 others in Hebron and four others in the besieged Gaza Strip.
Meanwhile, Primary Healthcare Director Kamal al-Shakhra said that samples were collected for 150 Palestinians suspected of contracting the disease after coming into contact confirmed cases in the town, and their test results would be announced later.
