Jordan and Spain affirm their rejection of any Israeli annexation steps

Jordanian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Al-Safadi and Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Spanish Cooperation Aranca Gonzalez affirmed the rejection of any Israeli steps to annex occupied Palestinian lands.
Al-Safadi and Gonzales considered the annexation decision a violation of international law and undermining the foundations of the peace process that started from Madrid.
This came during discussions held by Safadi and Gonzales, on ways to enhance cooperation in facing the “Corona” pandemic and its economic and social consequences, and developments related to the Palestinian issue.
Al-Safadi and his Spanish counterpart reviewed steps that can be taken to emerge an international position that would prevent “Israel” from taking any annexation decision.
He appreciated the position of Spain and the European Union, which adheres to international legitimacy and supports the two-state solution and direct negotiations in accordance with international legitimacy, as a way to reach a solution to the conflict.
