Resheq calls on NAM Summit to take action against Israel’s crimes

Member of Hamas’s political bureau Ezzat al-Resheq has urged the 18th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) to be held in the Azerbaijani capital Baku to take a firm position and urgent action against Israel’s crimes and violations in the occupied Palestinian territories.
In recent press remarks to Anadolu news agency, Resheq pointed to the importance of the role played by regional and international organizations in supporting just causes, especially the Palestinian cause, and defending the peoples’ right to resist colonialism and achieve their aspirations for independence and self-determination.
He added that such role would be very important in light of the US administration’s bias in favor of Israel’s agendas.
The Hamas official expressed his appreciation to Azerbaijan for its supportive positions towards Palestine and its people’s struggle against the occupation.
He expressed hope that the NAM Summit would adopt resolutions in support of the Palestinian people’s legitimate right to struggle for the liberation of their land and the establishment of their state with Jerusalem as its capital.
