Turkey condemns home demolitions in Sur Baher

Turkey has denounced the Israeli demolition campaign that targeted over 100 homes in Occupied Jerusalem on Monday.
Turkey’s Foreign Ministry said in an official statement that home demolitions in Jerusalem’s village of Sur Baher is another example of the “aggressive policies” pursued by Israel.
The Ministry said the home demolition policy is clearly aimed at changing the demographic character of Jerusalem, which kills hopes for a two-state solution.
It called on the international community to take an action against the ongoing home demolition campaign in Jerusalem and protect the rights of the Palestinian people there.
On Monday the Israeli occupation authorities demolished about 16 Palestinian residential buildings in Wadi al-Hummus neighborhood in Sur Baher, which led to the displacement of dozens of families.
