Several European diplomatic delegations arrived in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday evening through the Beit Hanoun (Erez) crossing to hold meetings with local and UNRWA officials and check on the humanitarian situation.
A statement by the media office of the Beit Hanoun crossing administration affirmed that several European diplomats flocked to Gaza through the crossing on wednesday.
The delegations included the Italian consul and his deputy, the Spanish deputy consul, the director of the Norwegian embassy office, the official in charge of the UNRWA affairs at the Belgian embassy, the Maltese deputy ambassador, the head of the Polish mission, the director of the Irish consulate office, the Canadian deputy ambassador and the Swiss ambassador as well as many European diplomats accompanying them.
