The International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS) has called on the Muslim nation to take urgent action to stop Israel’s aggression against the Aqsa Mosque.

This came in a statement issued following the meetings that were held on Thursday and Friday in Istanbul by the IUMS board of trustees.

IUMS accused the Arab regimes and officials who recently normalized their relations with Israel of being accomplices in the crimes being committed against the Palestinians and the Islamic holy sites.

Its statement underlined that those Arab regimes gave the green light for Israel to carry out its plots in Jerusalem without any hesitation. IUMS affirmed that the Baba al-Rahma prayer area is part of the Aqsa Mosque and any attack on this site targets the entire Muslim nation.
