Israel sentences Raed Salah to 3 more months house arrest

The Israeli Supreme Court on Thursday slapped Palestinian resistance icon Raed Salah with another three months under house arrest, according to Salah’s lawyer.
The house arrest means that Salah cannot receive guests, speak in public, communicate via the internet or talk to media outlets,” lawyer Khaled Zbarqa told Anadolu Agency.
“We see no justification or reason for extending his house arrest,” the lawyer said. “But the Israeli authorities still insist that he poses a threat.”
In August 2017, Israeli police arrested Salah from his home in the city of Umm al-Fahm in northern Israel before convicting him on charges of “inciting violence”. In 2015, Israel officially outlawed Salah’s Islamic Movement for allegedly engaging in “anti-Israel activities”.
