The League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds condemns and strongly denounces the incursions of settlers occupying the yards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, raising the flag of the occupying entity, and performing the prayers in it on Sunday 13 May 2018 in a frank provocation of the feelings of the residents of Jerusalem and Muslims all over the world in a sign that refers to a cunning plan that aims to change the reality on the ground at a rapid pace in line with the decision of US President Trump to consider Jerusalem as the capital of the Zionist entity occupied, and proceed to transfer the embassy of his country to it.

The League of Parliamentarians forAl-Quds is following these developments, warning of a frightening horizon whose negative effects will be reflected in all directions, especially as these events coincided with the 70th anniversary of the Nakba, it holds the international community responsible for stopping the aggression of the occupying entity against Islamic and Christian holy sites, such as penetrating the courtyards of al-Aqsa Mosque and attacking the cemetery of mercy, and to take urgent and effective measures to curb the encroachment of President Trump, whose decisions violate international laws relating to Jerusalem and Palestine.

It also calls upon the Arab and Islamic governments to take firm stand against the barbarism of the occupier, a stand which commensurate with the value of the historical, cultural and religious dimension of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and call upon them to play a role in harmony with the aspiring aspirations of Arab peoples.

In light of these rapid events at the level of the Palestinian arena, the Association of Parliamentarians for Jerusalem calls on all Arab and Islamic peoples to be fully vigilant and respond quickly to the march of return and all activities that seek to thwart plots aimed at the liquidation of the Palestinian cause.
