Marwan al-Barghouthi, member of Fatah Central Committee and MP in the Palestinian Legislative council, has called on Monday for holding a Palestinian dialogue conference to end the internal division, to achieve national unity under the umbrella of Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and to confront the deal of the century.
In a letter on the occasion of Palestinian Prisoner Day which coincides today April 17, Barghouthi demanded referring decision making on resistance management and political, diplomatic and negotiation decisions to the PLO as well as transferring the administration of the Palestinian Authority affairs to the consensus government.
Barghouti’s letter came prior to the convention of the Palestinian National Council slated to be held at the end of the month without the participation of Hamas and Islamic Jihad Movements.
The Fatah leader called for not launching negotiations with any Israeli government before officially declaring their commitment to end the Israeli occupation and to retreat to 1967 borders.
