Chilean parliamentary movements in solidarity with Palestine and condemning the crimes of the occupation

Five senators and 23 Chilean parliamentarians, including Chileans of Palestinian origin, signed an urgent letter calling on the Chilean government to move diplomatically with the international community and international organizations to pressure the Israeli government to stop its crimes against the Palestinian people and end its occupation of the occupied Palestinian territories.
The letter calls on the United Nations to find a binding mechanism to implement its decisions regarding the Arab-Israeli conflict and to ensure that Israel does not evade international law and the numerous international resolutions adopted by the United Nations to end the suffering of the Palestinian people.
Chilean Foreign Minister Roberto Ambuero, at the ministry’s headquarters in the capital, Santiago, received the senators and deputies who signed the letter, and a delegation from the Palestinian Federation and the Palestinian Club.
The delegation reviewed the crimes committed by “Israel” against the unarmed civilians in the Gaza Strip during the march of return last Friday on the anniversary of Earth Day, which led to the fall of large numbers of civilian victims in full view of the international community, which is unable to curb these crimes .
The parliamentary delegation and the representatives of the Palestinian community in Chile called on the Foreign Minister and the Chilean government not only to condemn the Israeli government’s actions against unarmed civilians in the Palestinian territories, but to act at all levels with international organizations and the international community to put an end to the occupation and to compel Israel to respect international resolutions.
On their part, Anwar Makhlouf and Fernando Mansour, representatives of the Federation and the Palestinian Club in Chile, confirmed their continuous work with the Department of Expatriates Affairs of the PLO, the continuation of the movement of the Palestinian community at all levels as well as the organization of various activities and events.
