Advisor of the League Participates in the International Conference in Solidarity with the Palestinian People in Venezuela

Al-Bachir Djarallah, advisor to the League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds and Palestine, participated in the International Conference in Solidarity with the Palestinian People and the sixth conference of the Global Campaign for the Right of Return, held on November 29 and 30 in Venezuela under the patronage of President Nicolás Maduro.

During his speech at the conference, Djarallah emphasized that the genocide in the Gaza Strip has become a global event that exposes the failure of international institutions and their resolutions in the face of American dominance and the arrogance of imperial powers.

He called for a reformation of the international system based on values of justice, moving away from double standards and the distortion of facts, through activating the parliamentary role to enact local legislation grounded in genuine human values, paving the way for a new international legislation focused on human dignity.

The League's advisor urged the strengthening of civil society organizations to lead the battle for awareness and support parliamentary efforts in renewing the international system. He also called for involving independent international civil institutions to provide means for civil society organizations to enable them to bring about the desired change as quickly and cost-effectively as possible.

Djarallah stressed that these efforts are essential to confront the double standards in dealing with the just Palestinian cause and humanitarian issues, as well as to develop an international system that reflects the aspirations and legitimate rights of peoples.

The International Conference in Solidarity with the Palestinian People, held concurrently with the sixth conference of the Global Campaign for the Right of Return in the Venezuelan capital Caracas, aims to enhance international support for the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people and to highlight the suffering of Palestinians under Israeli occupation.

The conference included political and academic figures, human rights organizations, and community representatives from around the world, featuring discussion sessions and workshops addressing issues of international justice, the right of return, and anti-colonialism. Its activities also focused on formulating new international mechanisms to support the Palestinian struggle and confront double standards in global laws and policies.
