A delegation from the League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds and Palestine participated in the "Global Parliamentary Anti-Fascism Forum," which took place in Caracas, Venezuela, on November 4 and 5.
The delegation included the Vice President of the League and Chairman of the Türkiye-Palestine Friendship Committee in the Turkish Parliament, Hasan Turan; the League's Secretary-General, Dr. Mohammad Makram Balawi; and the Head of International Public Relations, Eng. Abdullah Al-Beltaji.
The delegation's participation aimed to enhance global parliamentary solidarity concerning the Palestinian cause and to contribute to efforts aimed at halting the genocide in the Gaza Strip.
The delegation presented the violations faced by the Palestinian people, the policy of ethnic cleansing, and the ongoing genocide in Gaza, as well as its implications for the region and international peace.
On the sidelines of the forum, the delegation held meetings with participating parliamentary delegations, emphasizing the need for a unified stance from parliaments worldwide against the Israeli occupation and its practices.
The "Global Parliamentary Anti-Fascism Forum" is an annual gathering aimed at supporting democratic principles and combating fascist and racist ideologies worldwide, featuring participation from parliamentarians and political leaders from various countries.
Among the topics discussed at this year's forum were: "Parliamentary Democracy for Peace," "The Relationship Between Imperialism, Fascism, and Zionism," and "Blockades and Coercive Measures Imposed on Several Countries."
