LP4Q delegation discusses with Turkish parliamentary blocs the cessation of the genocide war on Gaza

A delegation from the League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds held meetings with parliamentary blocs in the Turkish National Assembly to discuss ways to stop the genocide war waged by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

During their visit to the headquarters of the National Assembly in the Turkish capital, Ankara, the delegation met with parliamentary blocs from the Justice and Development Party, the Nationalist Movement Party, the Good Party, the Saadet Party, and the Huda Party.

The President of the League, Hamid bin Abdullah Al Ahmar, stated that the meetings discussed parliamentary efforts to stop the war and deliver aid to the Gaza Strip. He praised the Turkish role and statements rejecting the genocide inflicted upon the Palestinian people, and called for further Turkish positions to halt the hostilities.

The President of the League emphasized the need to exert pressure on all international and regional parties to lift the siege on the Gaza Strip, prosecute the leaders of the occupation in international courts, and enact legislation in the Turkish Parliament in this regard.

He also mentioned that the delegation agreed with the parties to appoint a parliamentarian from each bloc to facilitate communication and participation in the activities of the League, emphasizing the necessity of countering Turkey and the Turkish media's dissemination of Israeli lies and the massive media campaign to dehumanize the Palestinian people and justify the massacres.

In addition to the President of the League, the meeting was attended by the President of the League of Turkiye and Turkish Parliament member, Dr. Nureddin Nebati, member of the Executive Committee of the League and member of the Kuwaiti National Assembly, Osama al-Shaheen, member of the Executive Committee of the League and Turkish Parliament member, Hassan Turan, member of the Executive Committee of the League, Adel Rashid, member of the Executive Committee of the League and Assistant to the President for Asian Affairs, Mohammed Aql, member of the Executive Committee of the League and Assistant to the President for African Affairs, Bashir Jarallah, Palestinian Legislative Council member, Marwan Abu Ras, League's Director General, Dr. Mohammad Makram Balawi, and Head of Public Relations Department in the League, Abdullah al-Beltaji.
