LP4Q deplores the Western campaign to demonize the Palestinian people and justify the occupation’s massacres

The League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds strongly criticized the non-diplomatic American and Western stance on Friday, which violates international norms and values and blatantly favors the Israeli occupation."

"The President of the leauge, Hamid Ben Abdullah Al-Ahmar, stated during a press conference organized by the League that the dissemination of Israeli lies and the massive media campaign to demonize and dehumanize the Palestinian people, as well as the justification of massacres, such as President Joe Biden's statements about the resistance beheading children and raping women, allegations proven false and later denied by the White House, is shocking and incomprehensible."

Al-Ahmar emphasized that the Israeli occupation is solely responsible for what happened, and the eruption of violence is clear evidence of the failure of the international justice system and the institutions of the international community, as well as the complicity of major powers with the Israeli occupation, allowing it to end any chance of justice for the Palestinian people. He added, 'It is natural for the Palestinian people to exercise their right to resist and defend their land and holy places after the international system's abandonment.

He expressed his astonishment at the European double standard towards what is happening in Gaza and towards the Palestinian people, as well as the justification of massacres, the killing of civilians, the burning of residential neighborhoods, the targeting of journalists and paramedics, the complete blockade, and the use of internationally prohibited ammunition, among other war crimes.

The President of the League called on Arab and Islamic countries, parliaments, Arab and Islamic organizations to act immediately and urgently to support the Palestinian people and not just to condemn. He called for breaking the siege on Gaza, reopening the Rafah crossing, and delivering aid. He also urged the United States and the occupation to immediately stop the aggression, commending the resistance for releasing a mother and her children after detaining them following clashes.

"The American and Western discourse about the presence of their citizens among the prisoners and other qualifiers is inaccurate and misleading. Citizens of these countries are Israelis and soldiers of the occupation, so what are the citizens of these countries doing in Israeli settlements and military sites on the borders of Gaza?" He said.

Al-Ahmar called on the international community and regional countries to act to impose a just solution to the Palestinian issue, emphasizing that "any party that refrains from resolving the Palestinian issue now bears responsibility for the violence, and all must bear this responsibility."

He added, "The United Nations and relevant organizations are obliged to take every step towards establishing a Palestinian state, which is the most legitimate right of the Palestinian people, in accordance with international law and resolutions."

Since the beginning of the aggression on Gaza, the total number of martyrs who arrived at Gaza hospitals until now is 1537, including 500 children and 276 women, and 6612 others have been injured.

As for the President of the League od Turkiye and Member of the Turkish Parliament, Dr. Nureddin Nebati, he emphasized that the Israeli occupation openly violated the principles of the ethics of war by committing massacres against residential areas in the Gaza Strip, imposing a blockade, and cutting off fuel, electricity, food, and medicine from Gaza.

Nebati stressed that the continued blockade of Gaza, the targeting of innocent civilians, the attacks on hospitals and ambulances, the destruction of places of worship and schools, the infrastructure, and the prevention of all humanitarian aid, along with depriving the Palestinian people of their basic needs, constitute terrorism in its clearest form, and cannot be justified in any way as self-defense.

He called on the international community and the countries in the region to take action to impose a just solution to the Palestinian issue, emphasizing that any party that refrains from resolving the Palestinian issue is now responsible for the violence, and everyone should bear this responsibility.

He continued, "The United Nations and related institutions are obliged to take every step toward establishing a Palestinian state, which is the most legitimate right of the Palestinian people, according to international laws and resolutions."

On the other hand, Dr. Marwan Abu Ras, a member of the Palestinian Legislative Council, reiterated that the explosion in the Gaza Strip is a result of the blockade imposed on the territory by the Israeli occupation for the past 17 years.

Abu Ras added that the healthcare sector in Gaza is on the brink of collapse, not just due to the war, but also because of the consequences of the blockade, including the ban on importing medical equipment and supplies. He emphasized that the occupation's plan to displace the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip will not succeed, and they will remain resilient in their land.

The 'Al-Aqsa Storm' operation announced by the commander-in-chief of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, Muhammad al-Daif, entered its seventh day in response to the crimes committed by the occupation against the Palestinians and its repeated incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque, while the Israeli army announced the start of the 'Iron Swords' operation against Gaza.
