The President of the League condemns the official, popular, and Western demonization campaign against the Palestinian people

The President of the Leauge of Parliamentarians for al-Quds, Hamid bin Abdullah Al-Ahmar, expressed astonishment at the promotion of Israeli lies and the massive media campaign to demonize and dehumanize the Palestinian people, as well as justifying the massacres by the United States and Western countries.

During a parliamentary press conference organized by the League, Al-Ahmar added that the statements made by US President Joe Biden about the resistance beheading children and raping women, which were later proven to be false and denied by the White House, are disgraceful and incomprehensible. He emphasized that the Palestinian people have the right to resist and defend their land and sanctities after being let down by the international system.

He also criticized the undiplomatic and flagrantly biased American and Western position in favor of Israeli occupation, stressing that the Israeli occupation bears sole responsibility for what has happened and that the eruption of violence is a clear indication of the failure of the international justice system and international institutions, as well as the complicity of major powers in enabling the Israeli occupation and preventing any opportunity for justice for the Palestinian people.

He expressed his astonishment at the double standards of European countries towards what is happening in Gaza and the Palestinian people, justifying the committed massacres, killing civilians, burning residential neighborhoods, targeting journalists and paramedics, imposing a comprehensive siege, and using internationally prohibited ammunition, among other war crimes being committed.

The head of the League called on Arab and Islamic countries, parliaments, Arab and Islamic organizations to take immediate and urgent action to support the Palestinian people, not just condemnations, but also to initiate breaking the siege on the Gaza Strip, to work on opening the Rafah border crossing and delivering aid, and to exert pressure on the United States and the occupation to immediately stop the aggression. He commended the resistance's stance by releasing a mother and her two children after detaining them due to the confrontations.

He further stated that the American and Western talk about their citizens being among the prisoners and others is an inaccurate and misleading description, as these citizens are Israelis and soldiers in the occupation army. So what are the citizens of these countries doing in the settlements and Israeli military sites on the borders of Gaza?

Al-Ahmar called on the international community to fulfill its moral and legal duty to ensure the prompt cessation of the Israeli aerial attack on Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories, to stop the assaults and provocations at Al-Aqsa Mosque, and to grant the Palestinian people their full rights as the only path to peace and to defuse the recurring confrontations from time to time.

He emphasized that the League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds will always stand by the oppressed Palestinian people and will exert all efforts to achieve justice for the Palestinian people and support them in obtaining their legitimate rights.
