The League discusses with the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia the holding of an Asian Parliamentary Conference in support of Jerusalem

The delegation of the league of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds discussed with Malaysian deputy prime minister Zahid Hamidi the strengthening of bilateral relations and joint cooperation, and parliamentary efforts to support the occupied city of Jerusalem and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

During the meeting, the delegation briefed Hamidi on the latest developments taking place in the city of Jerusalem in light of the continuation of the occupation's attacks on the Palestinian people and its holy sites, the continuation of the Judaization and settlement plans, the demolition of houses and the violation of the historical and legal status of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The two parties agreed to hold a parliamentary conference to support the Palestinian cause in Southeast Asia, increase support for the Palestinian people and unite the efforts of parliamentarians, in addition to presenting the efforts of the league in this regard and its recent activities, especially in Europe.

A delegation from LP4Q arrived in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, on Monday, as part of a series of foreign visits carried out by the league to enhance the presence of the Palestinian cause in Arab, Islamic and international parliaments.

The delegation includes, in addition to the president of the league, Mr. Hamid al-Ahmar, the vice-president of the league and the chairman of the Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Committee in the Indonesian Parliament, MP Dr. Fazli Zon, chairman of the defense and Foreign Relations Committee of the Senate of Pakistan, Senator Mushahid Hussain, Member of the executive body of the league, MP in the Malaysian Parliament Syed Ibrahim, advisor to the league Prof. Dr. Mohd Afandi Salleh, director general of the league Dr. Mohammad Makram Balawi, head of Public Relations at the league eng.
