A delegation of the League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds (Europe League) met with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the British Shadow Government, member of the British House of Commons and member of the Labour Party, MP Bambos Charalambos, to discuss developments in the Palestinian cause and to build a European parliamentary network that supports the rights of the Palestinian people.
The delegation of the League included the member of the Executive Body of the League and President of the League of Europe, the Italian MP Michele Piras, and the member of the Italian Parliament and member of the League, Davide Tripiedi.
Michele indicated that the meeting falls within the League's plan to build a strong and effective European network of parliamentarians to support the Palestinian cause and develop awareness-raising movements in all European parliaments about the occupation's attacks on the Palestinian people and the violation of international law and United Nations resolutions in the Palestinian territories.
He explained that the delegation discussed with Representative Charalambous the establishment of a European League for Al-Quds and Palestine, explaining that the delegation will hold more meetings with British parliamentarians and British institutions in this regard.
Michele indicated that these meetings follow the meetings which were held in Rome with Italian MPs and Parliamentarian parties, and in Bruxelles with Members of the European Parliament, in February.
