The League receives an invitation to participate in the seventeenth Conference of the PUIC

The League of Parliament for Al-Quds has received an official invitation to participate in the conference of the seventeenth session of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC), to be held in the Republic of Algeria.

The general director of the League, Dr. Mohammad Makram Balawi, stated that the League received the invitation based on its membership as an observer in the Union and that it will respond effectively to the invitation, indicating that "Parliamentarians for Al-Quds" invests such activities to enhance the presence of the Jerusalem issue and the Palestinian cause and coordinate with other parliaments and international institutions to support the rights of the Palestinian people.

Balawi stated that the League has observer membership in the African Parliamentary Union, the Global Organization of Parliamentarians Against Corruption, the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union, and the Asian Parliamentary Assembly, in addition to membership in the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States and the Asian Parliamentary Assembly.

The conference is scheduled to be held in the capital, Algiers, on January 29-30.

The union had announced granting the league an observer membership during its session that was held in Istanbul, in December 2021.
