A delegation of the League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds, headed by Hamid bin Abdullah Al-Ahmar, visited the headquarters of the Al-Jazeera news channel in the State of Qatar.

Al-Ahmar, during the meeting with the channel’s management, praised the news channel’s efforts in supporting the Palestinian cause and confronting the Israeli misinformation machine, stressing the need to confront the Israeli occupation’s attempts to kill the truth and hide its attacks against the Palestinian people, the latest of which was the killing of journalist Shereen Abu Aqleh.

The delegation offered condolences to the channel’s management for the assassination of Abu Aqleh, and organized a protest sit-in in front of the channel’s headquarters, denouncing the crime of the occupation.

During the meeting, issues related to strengthening and coordinating efforts between Al Jazeera and the League were reviewed to serve the Palestinian cause.

The delegation of the League arrived, on Saturday evening, headed by the President of the league, Hamid bin Abdullah Al-Ahmar, to the State of Qatar on a 4-day official visit and was received by the Vice-President of the Qatari Shura Council, Dr. Hamda Al Sulaiti.
