Yesterday, Tuesday, the Turkish Ambassador to the State of Qatar, Mustafa Kokso, received a delegation from the League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds headed by Hamid bin Abdullah Al-Ahmar, at the embassy headquarters in Doha.
Kokso explained, during the meeting, that the Palestinian cause is a first issue for the Turkish Republic, and Ankara stands by its heart and soul, stressing that supporting the Palestinian cause is a religious and patriotic duty for all free people in the world.
He added that the League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds reminds the world, not only parliamentarians, of the Palestinian cause and its place in the Islamic nation, noting that the Turkish state and its embassies in the State of Qatar care about the League and the Palestine committees and support Qatari efforts to support the Palestinian cause.
Kokso stressed that the Turkish and Palestinian people are one nation, calling on the free people of the world to support the Palestinian cause and the rights of the Palestinian people.
For his part, the league’s president, Hamid bin Abdullah al-Ahmar, valued Turkish efforts to support the Palestinian cause, expressing the league’s readiness to cooperate with Turkish embassies around the world, and other embassies to support Palestine in international and global forums.
The delegation of the League arrived, on Saturday evening, headed by the President of the League, Hamid bin Abdullah Al-Ahmar, to the State of Qatar on an official visit that lasts 4 days, and was received by the Vice-President of the Qatari Shura Council, Dr. Hamda Al Sulaiti.
