The delegation of the League holds a meeting with the Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Qatar

Yesterday, Monday, a delegation of the League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds held a meeting with the Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Qatar, Munir Ghannam.

During the meeting, the head of the league, Sheikh Hamid bin Abdullah Al-Ahmar, said that parliaments represent the true conscience of the people, and they have a space of freedom to express the peoples’ position on the Palestinian issue, noting that they are free from political restrictions imposed on governments.

As for the Chairman of the Palestinian-Turkish Parliamentary Committee and a member of the league’s Executive Committee, MP Hasan Turan, he stressed the need for Muslims and free people to support the steadfastness of the Palestinians in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the occupied city of Jerusalem.

Turan indicated that the United States and the West support the occupation's attacks and plans against Jerusalem and the Palestinian people, and practice double standards in dealing with the Palestinian cause.

For his part, His Excellency the Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Qatar, Munir Ghanem, valued the efforts of the League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds, to support the Palestinian cause in parliamentary and international forums.
