The member of the executive body of the League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds, the head of the League in Africa in the League, and the representative in the Nigerian Parliament, Yunusa Abubakar, announced the formation of the Nigerian-Palestinian Friendship Committee in Parliament to support the Palestinian cause.
Abubakar explained that the parliament approved the membership of the committee during its session on Tuesday, indicating that the formation of the committee came after efforts and contacts between the league and the Nigerian parliament.
He added that the formation of the committee comes within the moral and humanitarian duty of parliamentarians to support the justice of the Palestinian cause and preserve the rights of the Palestinian people and international legitimacy, and within their responsibilities and duties towards their peoples and the peoples of the world.
The representative called on the international, Arab and Islamic parliaments to form committees for Palestine in parliaments, to shed light on the violations of the occupation in the Palestinian territories, support the rights of the Palestinian people and fight the injustice and attacks practiced by the Israeli occupation against its people.
